Fall 2017 Speakers Series: Paul C. Brunson

  • Cafe Zata 5047 Forest Hill Avenue Richmond, VA, 23225 United States (map)

Join us as we host a stop of the Fall 2017 Speaker Series with Paul C. Brunson. The National Urban League and Altria is presenting the series to five select cities across the nation. The Fall 2017 Speaker Series was created as an exchange and a learning opportunity for young professionals navigating the terrain of our current employment landscape.

The Speaker Series is “How to Discover What You’re World-Class at Doing – Through Career Pivots" on Monday, October 30 from 6:30 p.m until 9:30 p.m. at Café Zata that will be an interactive presentation that breaks down the research and helps you craft a blueprint to becoming world-class.

WHY does new research recommend switching jobs every 3 years?
HOW do you create a plan to switch jobs frequently?
WHEN should you leave your job (especially if you like it)?
HOW do you avoid burning bridges while setting up your future success?

Your “special thing" or what you’re world-class at doing is what makes you unique. It’s what allows you to create a strong personal brand and become a more successful professional or entrepreneur. You must identify it. Here’s how you start.

In his 15-year professional career, Paul Carrick Brunson (@PaulCBrunson) counts five major job changes. In today’s employment landscape, those changes aren’t the pitfalls they once were. Currently, Mr. Brunson hosts Our World by Black Enterprise, a weekly syndicated network and cable TV show where he interviews today’s top newsmakers and business leaders. He has become recognized internationally as a small business leader. He’s the founder and chairman of the award-winning matchmaking firm, PCBA.

Admission is free; however, seating is limited. Light refreshments and a cash bar will be available.

PARKING: Limited and shared parking space along the Cafe Zata building. Additional parking is available across the street. Please look for red sail flags to entrance of parking lot.
